State Senator Mike Morrell (R-Rancho Cucamonga) will host the 5th Annual Top Chamber Business Awards at the University of Redlands later this month. Each year the event honors businesses from the 23rd Senate District, which includes Yucaipa, Calimesa, Highland, Redlands, Rancho Cucamonga and other Inland Empire cities.
“I am proud to again partner with our chambers of commerce to recognize businesses for their dedication to our region,” Morrell said. “Having been selected by peers who know their work best, these businesses are of the highest caliber and models for the community. It is a privilege to acknowledge them and the impact they are having.”Yucaipa businesses set to receive honors are Wildwood Canyon Villa Assisted Living & Alzheimer’s Care, Kopper Kettle Kafe and Jose’s Mexican Restaurant. Calimesa businesses include Tri-Focus Wealth Management, The Andrews Group/Prudential California Realty, and Bob’s Big Boy.The Top Chamber Business Awards program began in 2011 to highlight Inland Empire businesses making significant contributions to the local economy and showing dedication to the communities they serve. The event is also an opportunity for local businesses to network and discuss how the state can rebuild its image as a business friendly place for entrepreneurs.
Businesses were selected by local chambers of commerce, which submitted up to three names to be recognized at the event. One of the businesses nominated by each local chamber of commerce will be named as a Top Chamber Business for 2015.
The event will be held October 22 at the Orton Center at the University of Redlands. Check in will begin at 11:00 a.m. and the program will start at 11:30. Space is limited. For more details or information on how to attend, contact Melissa Boyd at (909) 581-9473 or SD23events@gmail.com.
