Parents looking to apply for free and reduced-price school meals through the Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified School District (YCJUSD) for the 2020-21 school year are encouraged to begin the application process now. Forms are available in both English and Spanish.
Free and reduced-price meals are available to families who believe they may qualify. Families should complete only one application per family/household. The information you provide will be used to determine or prove your child’s/children’s eligibility for free or reduced-priced meals. This information may also be used for other state or federally funded school benefits.
Factors considered in the application process are household size and total household income. Household size is considered all persons, related or unrelated, living in the home including parents, children, grandparents who live in your home and who share living expenses.
The Total Household Income is the income each household member received last month before taxes including wages, social security, pension, unemployment, welfare, child support, alimony, and any other cash income.
If foster children reside in your home they are eligible for free meals regardless of your income.
