YAPS Launches Memorial Brick Project for Travis Tate Socialization Area
The Yucaipa Animal Placement Society (YAPS) is the region’s non-profit, no kill animal shelter that provides homeless dogs and cats with a temporary safe haven – including food, shelter and loving staff and volunteers — until a permanent, loving home can be found. The agency also facilitates adoptions of these animals to worthy and loving families.
To honor these pets YAPS has launched a Memorial Brick Project whereby grateful families can celebrate and honor a cherished pet (either the pet you have now or one your family loved in past years). You can also purchase a brick to recognize a volunteer who has supported the needs of homeless pets or a brick can celebrate your own legacy.
The memorial bricks will be used to line the Travis Tate Socialization Area. This is the special area where adoptive families and homeless pets meet and get to know one another before the adoption process is completed. Countless families, with their new pet have begun their journey in the Travis Tate Socialization Area.
Bricks feature up to three lines with a maximum of 10 characters per line. Art on the bricks can feature with a single heart or two paw prints. Cost per brick is $75.00; a replica brick for your own home is available for an additional $35.00.
If you interested in purchasing a memorial brick you will need to complete YAPS’s order form at: http://www.yaps.org/. It should be returned, with payment, to YAPS at: 11937 13th Street, Yucaipa, CA 92399. For questions call YAPS at: 909-790-1440.
