Start Gathering Your Household Waste Now for the April 13 Round-Up

Household Hazardous and Electronic Waste

Virtually every household has hazardous and electronic waste waiting to be disposed of and eliminated. The city of Yucaipa, the San Bernardino County (SBC) Board of Supervisors, and the SBC Fire Department will be holding the 2019 Saturday, April 13 Household Hazardous and Electronic Waste from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Yucaipa Equestrian Center for Yucaipa area residents.

This free disposal event is your opportunity to discard:

  • Motor Oil/used filters
  • Batteries
  • Auto and household batteries
  • Paint products
  • Antifreeze
  • Household cleaners
  • Pesticides and fertilizers
  • Medications (separate liquids from solids) excluding controlled substances
  • Home generated Sharps (in approved container)
  • Televisions
  • Computer monitors
  • CPUs and printers
  • Fluorescent tubes
  • Microwave ovens
  • Cell phones/telephones
  • Space heaters
  • Stereos/radios
  • VCRs/DVD players
  • Clothes iron
  • Music cards

Unacceptable items that CANNOT be accepted at the Household Hazardous and Electronic Waste Round-Up include:

  • Business/commercial waste
  • Waste from foreclosed properties
  • Waste from non-profit organizations
  • Asbestos
  • Explosives
  • Radioactive waste
  • Medical waste
  • Non-sharps medical waste
  • Reactives
  • Appliances (other than those noted above)
  • Furniture
  • Air conditioners

Waste will NOT be accepted before the stated hours of the round-up as noted above. Participants will be asked to show identification for proof of residency. Participants will be limited to 15 gallons or 125 pounds per pass through in 5-gallon containers only.
