SBC Regional Parks holding hiring event Jan. 4
The San Bernardino County Regional Parks will be holding a one-day hiring event January 4 for the position of Lifeguard, who is responsible for protecting the public against accidents in the swim facilities, properly administering first aid/CPR if an accident should take place, and properly maintaining and operating pool, waterslide, and park equipment.
Multiple positions are available in Cucamonga-Guasti, Glen Helen, and Yucaipa Regional Parks.
The ideal candidate will be a strong swimmer with experience working in a swim facility. Candidates who have participated in aquatic sports such as swim or water polo are strongly encouraged to apply. Bilingual abilities are also strongly desired. All applicants are required to provide Lifeguard, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), First Aid, and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) certifications valid through September 2020. All required certifications must be completed prior to the first day of employment.
Applicants must be available to work varied schedules, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Positions are part-time (up to 39 hours/week). Assignments and schedules are made based on the needs of the Parks Department. The positions are seasonal from May through September.
The one-day hiring event will be held at Regional Parks Administration office, located at 777 E. Rialto Ave. in San Bernardino, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Walk-in’s are welcome.
