SBC Libraries to Host Retro Month Celebration

By on August 29, 2018

Rockin’ Retro Month is the newest reading program at all San Bernardino County (SBC) Libraries and your local Yucaipa Branch Library is participating in the September program. The program is simple –for every 30 items checked out, customers will receive the following:

  • A choice of one throwback item – either a plush Kermit The Frog keychain, Tamagotchi, or Mario themed lanyard (while supplies last).
  • An opportunity drawing ticket for a chance to win a plush Groot
  • A chance to win Rockin’ Retro Month’s grand prize: A classic Nintendo Entertainment System (NES Classic Edition)

All tickets earned during Rockin’ Retro Month must be turned in by close of business on Saturday, Sept. 29. Throughout the month, there will also be special events and story times at various library locations throughout the county. Check with the Yucaipa Branch Library to determine if any special events will be held at the local branch.

Rockin’ Retro Month is one of the many events sponsored by the SBC Library system and is another opportunity to celebrate and support the Countywide Vision’s literacy campaign, Vision2Read.

The Yucaipa Branch Library hours are: Mondays through Wednesdays – 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Thursdays and Fridays – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and, Saturdays — 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The library is closed on Sundays. For additional information about the Yucaipa Branch Library to:  www.sbclib.org or call: 909-790-3146.
