Parents and Community Invited to Educational Series on Current Issues Regarding Students
The Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified School District (YCJUSD) in conjunction with the California Schools Joint Powers Authority, the California Schools Risk Management and the California Schools Employee Benefits Association will be hosting three free educational seminars for parents, guardians and the general community on current topics to aid in providing a healthy home and school environment for students. All three HOPE Education Seminars are free.
The seminars include the following:
Steps for Student Success Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018/8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Location: Chapman Heights Elementary School, 33692 Cramer Road, Yucaipa
The goal of this seminar is to educate and encourage parents, guardians and the community in assisting their students’ success in school.
Cyberbullying and Social Media Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019/8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Location: Yucaipa High School, 33000 Yucaipa Blvd., Yucaipa
This seminar will offer parents, guardians and the community with viable boundaries for students in using social media appropriately. Please note the time for this seminar is subject to change.
Alcohol/Substance Abuse – Altered States Saturday, April 27, 2019/8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Location: Park View Middle School, 34875 Tahoe Dr., Yucaipa
This last seminar will present the signs, symptoms and issues with alcohol and drugs. Information providing help and resources on the topic will also be made available. Please note the time for this seminar is subject to change.
