Join San Bernardino County leaders for State of the County on Tuesday, Feb. 12
Business, community and government leaders from throughout San Bernardino County (SBC) will gather on Tuesday, Feb. 12 for the county’s annual Regional Business Summit and State of the County at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario. The event – titled “Innovate. Transform. Grow.” – will focus around the county’s economic strength and business growth.
The annual event will also highlight the county’s recently launched Vision2Succeed campaign, part of SBC’s Countywide Vision Project. It is the fourth public campaign of the county’s Vision Project and is designed to prepare county residents for the jobs we have within the county and jobs the county wants to attract. The State of the County is recognized as the largest regional business event in the SBC.
“The County continues to lead the state and nation in job and population growth. At a time when business and residents are being priced out of coastal markets, we continue to be a quality choice for business expansion and for a quality lifestyle,” said Board of Supervisors Chairman Curt Hagman. “That’s why I encourage businesses to make plans now to be part of this event. We will share information to encourage business growth as well as provide a forum for valuable engagement with regional leaders. Bottom line, this event is about business expansion and job creation.”
In addition to the opening address by Chairman Hagman, the event will feature Jason Feifer, editor-in-chief of Entrepreneur magazine, along with leaders from the SBC’s top industries and businesses such as China Airlines, Federal Express UPS, Garner Holt Productions, General Atomic, Lennar Homes and NUUO.
Prior to the Regional Business Summit and State of the County, the Inland Empire chapter of NAIOP will hold a real estate industry presentation titled “San Bernardino County: The Road Forward.” The NAIOP panel will be led by moderator Terry Thompson, director of real estate, San Bernardino County with panelists: Bill Heim, principal, Lee & Associates; Doug Jorritsma, senior vice president, Land Advisors; and Val Achtemeier, executive vice president, CBRE; and, Greg Devereraux, Worthington Partners.
The NAIOP IE panel will begin at 3:30 pm. Registration for State of the County begins at 4:30 pm. Citizens Business Bank Arena is located at 4000 Ontario Center in Ontario. Sponsorship opportunities for greater business exposure are still available.
