Five Yucaipa Students Earn Awards at 37th Annual SIM Science and Engineering Fair

Congratulations to the five Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified School District (YCJUSD) students who recently earned awards for their entries in the 37th Annual SIM Science and Engineering Fair. The fair is held to recognize student projects in the San Bernardino, Inyo and Mono Counties SIM Science and Engineering Fair. The fair is an annual competition of science projects designed, developed and displayed by elementary and secondary students from schools in each county.

The YCJUSD students earning awards were:

Kadence Button – Ridgeview Elementary School, gold medal

Russell Koger – Ridgeview Elementary School, silver medal

Selena Wisegarver – Dunlap Elementary School, silver medal

Rhett Bogh – Mesa View Middle School, bronze medal

Matthew Fogel – Yucaipa High School, bronze medal and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Taking the Pulse of the Planet Award recipient
