Final line-up of activities and music announced for this weekend’s Winterfest
Circle this Saturday on the calendar and plan to attend the 2017 Yucaipa Winterfest. Complete with holiday music, photos with Santa, the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, a snow zone and more, the annual (almost) winter celebration has something in store for everyone. There’s even a beer garden for participants aged 21-plus.
Winterfest will be held in historic uptown Yucaipa from 3 to 9 p.m. The Tree Lighting Ceremony begins at 5:55 p.m. at the California Street Roundabout. The Yucaipa Tree will be lit at 6 p.m.
Photos with Santa – by Henri Reynaud Photography — will be available from 3:00 to 5:15 p.m. and again from 6:15 to 9:00 p.m. at the future Performing Arts Center parking lot. Photo prices will be: one 5” × 7” – $10, two 5” × 7”s – $15 and three 5” × 7”s – $20. Additionally, all individual files will be emailed to you post event.
The Kids Zone will feature jumpers, a chance to write letters to Santa and a reindeer food-making station. The Snow Zone on Yucaipa Blvd. will be filled with 40 tons of snow with specialty lanes for sledding. The” Yucaipa Polar Express” Trackless Train Rides will be available at the California Street Roundabout for children to experience a ride to the North Pole.
For the adults the Beer Garden on California Street will include beer, wine and hot toddy drinks for those of legal drinking age. All alcohol sales and consumption are restricted to the event’s designated beer garden and cannot be carried throughout the event’s attractions.
For all ages, the Yucaipa Winterfest will include food and vendors of all kinds. Saturday also marks Small Business Saturday; shop throughout Yucaipa – especially at the city’s smaller businesses including the Winterfest vendors – and support this growing national movement.
The music line-up at Winterfest’s main stage will include:
- DaBand Rocks 3:00 to 4:30 m.
- Snowfall 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
- Highland Music Company 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.
And, at various stops throughout Winterfest will be the Desert Carolers from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Amenities during Winterfest will include portable restroom (including ADA accessible units), first aid services, and police and fire patrols. For the well-being of everyone, pet must be on leashes at all times and are prohibited from designated food areas and the Beer Garden.
