City of Yucaipa and Crafton Hills College Offering New Business Classes

Small business owner? Starting a new business? Looking to brush-up on business skills? Whatever the reason, if you’re looking for business classes in Small Business Management & Entrepreneurship, Social Media & Marketing, and/or Small Business Accounting & QuickBooks, new classes being offered by the city of Yucaipa and Crafton Hills College (CHC) might be the resolution to your needs. Better yet, the classes are being offered at Yucaipa’s Business Incubator Center in downtown Yucaipa at 34282 Yucaipa Blvd. in Yucaipa.

The first class, Small Business Management & Entrepreneurship, begins this Thursday, Sept. 13 and will continue on Thursdays through Sept. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. Class fee is $75.00 for Yucaipa residents and $97 for non-residents.

This initial class will provide an introduction to entrepreneurship and principles of managing a small business. Coursework will Include the development of an effective business plan and the knowledge and skills necessary to open and operate a successful small business. This course is designed to assist aspiring entrepreneurs in the basics of management and start-up businesses. The class will help to establish a practical base for those seeking to execute business plans or act on business ideas.

The second class offered jointly by the city and CHC will be Social Media & Marketing Management for Small Businesses to be held on Thursdays between Oct. 11 and October 25. The last class, Small Business Accounting & QuickBooks is slated for Tuesdays between Nov. 6 and 20. These classes will also be held between 6 and 8 p.m.
