Yucaipa Little Theatre to Present “A Christmas Story” beginning Dec. 7
Ralphie Parker wanted only one thing that Christmas: A Red Ryder Carbine Action 200-shot Range Model air rifle. And so the story goes…
“A Christmas Story,” originally a movie that first aired in 1983, is a series of vignettes with narration provided by the adult Ralphie Parker, as he fondly remembers the Christmas when he was just nine years old and had a big Christmas wish. But his mother, teacher and even a department store Santa told him he would end up “…shoot(ing) your eye out.”
The Yucaipa Little Theatre will present this family-friendly show on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from December 7 through 16. The Friday and Saturday shows (Dec. 7, 8, 14, 15) will begin at 7:30 p.m. and the Sunday shows (Dec. 9 and 16) will start at 3:30 p.m.
The show includes Ralphie diving into a pile of gifts on Christmas morning but he’s disappointed that the coveted air rifle is not among his gifts. But as the gift-giving and unwrapping winds down Ralphie’s father, known as “The Old Man,” directs the boy to open one last present that had been hidden…
But, no spoiler alert here! Join the Christmas festivities at Yucaipa Little Theatre and learn the ending to Ralphie’s Christmas morning.
