Rockabilly Returns to Riley’s Farm with Swing/Rockabilly Dancing, Hay Rides

By on August 22, 2018

Live music, swing/rockabilly dancing, hay rides, great food, Hanger 24 Orange Wheat on tap and fresh milkshakes will all come together for two nights in early September for a rockin’ good time at Riley’s Farm in nearby Oak Glen with Rockabilly. The farm’s Packing Shed will feature for a night of swingin’ dance music played by Irish Sham-Rockabilly band Craic Haus. And for those not familiar with this lively music and the dance steps, swing dance instruction is included in the evening’s festivities.

First up is swing dance instruction from 6:45 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. The doors to the Packing Shed open promptly at 7:00 p.m. and the band goes on. The farm’s grill is open from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Meals purchased at the grill are separate from the admission tickets but great food is guaranteed. A la carte meals are just $6.95 and meals with fresh-cut fries are just $9.95; those with even bigger appetites can add another meat patty or bacon for an additional $1.50. Four different meals will be offered: the Elvis (fried PB&J with bananas and bacon), the John Wayne (Western-style burger, American cheese, bacon, BBQ sauce and onion rings), the Big Bopper (an all-American burger with lettuce, tomatoes, American cheese, 1000-island sauce, pickles and onions) or the Plain Jane (just the patty, with or without cheese.) For those looking for an even better meal, request the Riley’s Farm raised beef for just $2 extra.

Riley’s Farm’s Rockabilly Nights are scheduled for either Saturday, Sept. 1 or Saturday, Sept. 8. This limited time event is only $15 for adults and $12 for children ages 3 to 12 years of age; beer, milkshakes and all dinner items are purchased separately.
