If you have children between the ages of 8 and 14 who love music, whether their interest is in voice, conducting or instruments, the 2019 Redlands Symphony Summer Music Academy may be just the thing! The two-week, Monday through Friday academy will expose your child to musical theory, history, aural skills, youth choir and ensemble sessions for band, string orchestra and chamber vocal music. Children will also have a chance to choose an elective option to explore instruments, conducting, ukulele, recorder, piano and instrumental chamber.

The two-week summer music day camp is an opportunity for kids to explore their musical passions and the academy is open to students of all abilities. Youth will take field trips for musically enriching events as well as presentations by musicians from the Redlands Symphony. The program is also an opportunity to meet/make new friends with other kids from around the local area and try out a new instrument. Kids enrolled in the academy will also meet Ransom Wilson, music director, conductor and professional musician. The 2019 academy will conclude with a grand finale concert on Friday, July 19 at 3 p.m. where family and friends can witness what their budding musicians have accomplished during the music camp.
