Junior Fishing Workshop planned for Mar. 7 at Yucaipa Regional Park

Children ages 7 to 15 with an interest in learning the fundamentals of lake shore fishing should plan to attend the Saturday, Mar. 7 Junior Fishing Workshop at Yucaipa Regional Park.

Participants will rotate through five stations that introduce children to the basics of trout fishing. Following the workshops, the participants will be able to test their newly learned skills in a two-hour fishing session. All equipment and tackle are provided and each child will receive a souvenir t-shirt.

Fees for the Junior Fishing Workshop are $10 per child plus a $10 vehicle fee. No fishing license is required for the workshop; youth under age 16 are not required to have a fishing license in California.

Registration for the Junior Fishing Workshop is required at least five days prior to the workshop. Children must be accompanied by an adult to participate in the workshop. Fishing workshops are held rain or shine and fees are non-refundable.
