With Thanksgiving behind us, as the song goes, “It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas! There’s snow in the local mountains, the weather is rather chilly, and the stores are playing Christmas music and offering some mighty tempting sales.

More importantly, the 65th Annual Yucaipa Christmas Parade is slated for Saturday, Dec. 14 beginning at 12 p.m., rain or shine. The parade will start at Yucaipa Boulevard and California Street and continue along Yucaipa Boulevard (heading west). The parade is a joint effort by the Rotary Club of Yucaipa and the city of Yucaipa.

And FYI, you probably don’t have much to worry about as to the parade stepping off, rain or shine. The weather forecast for next Saturday is for s sunny day with a zero percent prediction of rain. Southwest winds of just six percent, 48 percent humidity with a high of 68 degrees and a low of 45 degrees. Thus far, the weather is predicted to be almost picture perfect for a parade.

And rumor has it that a jolly old elf, with a belly like a bowl full of jelly, clad in a warm red suit is scheduled to make an appearance to the delight of all children, young and old. Merry Christmas Yucaipa!
