Herbivore Festival Returns to Crafton Hills College on Sunday, April 28
Whether you’re a veteran vegetarian or you’re totally unfamiliar plant-based diets or you’re somewhere in between, the upcoming Herbivore Festival at Crafton Hills College (CHC) on Sunday, April 28 is where you need to be. This is an annual festival that is filled with educational and life-changing lectures, cooking demos, fitness activities, musical and art performances, activities for youngsters and all things that will help you to begin, maintain and enjoy a plant-based life.
The Herbivore Festival is a non-profit celebration of plant-based living hosted by CHC’s Department of Kinesiology and Health. The goal of the festival is to educate and empower people to adopt a plant-based diet and provide them with the tools to stick with it both for a healthier lifestyle and to encourage a cruelty-free community.
The Herbivore Festival welcomes those who are completely unfamiliar with plant-based diets as well as the “most seasoned” of vegetarians. The festival features no less than 40 events (lectures, cooking demos, etc.) plus class in learning family yoga, line dancing, Zumba, Tai Chi, belly dancing and more. Performances will include live comedy, belly dancing, live music and muvuca drummers. Free samples of a variety foods and other items will be available.
The festival will open peoples’ eyes and inspire them to make the change to a vegetarian lifestyle and/or strengthen their lifestyles to prevent and reverse disease. A vegetarian lifestyle will also help millions of animals and the planet.
