Does Your Kid Have Talent? Yucachella Auditions Set for Saturday, Oct. 12

Does it seem as if your child was born to perform? Have you paid for years of music, dance, gymnastics, drama, comedy or magic lessons for your child? Has your garage been transformed into a practice/rehearsal space for your child’s band? If you answered yes to any of the questions above, ask your child if he/she wants to audition on Saturday, Oct. 12 for the upcoming 6th Annual Yucachella Talent Show.

Yucachella is seeking Yucaipa Calimesa Joint Unified School District (YCJUSD) students in all grades for acts in vocal/singing, dance/gymnastics/ movement, musical instrument(s), drama/comedy/magic/ variety and other performance areas. Auditions will be held on only Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Yucaipa High School (YHS) Multi-Purpose Building’s T-Bird Lounge (entry on West End) at 33000 Yucaipa Blvd. Finalists will be notified via text and/or email within 48 hours of auditions.

The Yucachella Talent Show will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26 in the YHS Multi-Purpose Room) at 7 p.m. Costs for the talent show are: $5 for students, $10 for adults and $25 for families.

The Yucaipa-Calimesa Educational Enrichment Foundation (YCEEF) was founded in 2013 and is the hosting organization for Yucachella. YCEEF seeks to complement the efforts of the YCJUSD in providing innovative programs and a world-class education to the students who attend school in the YCJUSD. Funds raised by the YCEEF are used to make available classroom grants for special activities and learning experiences.
